Aged in new and 2-year-old French oak barrels for 16 months. This beautifully textured wine is full bodied with velvety tannins. Aromas of fresh blackberries, thyme, black pepper, and mushrooms. Aged in new French oak for 18 months, extended maceration for 30 days. Deep dragon's blood purple color. Perfume of fresh dark stone fruit and black cherries, traces of black pepper, mushrooms, and eucalyptus. Medium bodied, the flavors are redolent of Italian plums and dark cherries. Smooth tannins lead into the spicy, smokey finish.
