2020 "Kiss of a Rose"
Arianses Vineyard
& Lonesome Springs Ranch
Medium ruby hue with magenta and blue undertones, with a prominent strawberry nose and hints of cranberries. There is the barest of effervescence on opening the bottle that disappears rapidly on swirling the glass. On the palate, cranberry and rhubarb tartness is evident. This light, clean, and refreshing rose wine has no residual sugar and would be great on a pleasant summer day or passed around while in the hot tub. It can be drunk by itself or with food, paired with shrimp cocktail, cheeses, raw oysters, steamed clams and mussels, grilled vegetables, prosciutto, veggie pizza, baked and grilled fish, grilled lamb. This new world Syrah is full bodied, juicy, savory, and spicy. Aromas of cassis, cracked pepper, cloves, violets, and camphor engage your nose. Fresh flavors of black raspberries and black cherries with nuances of licorice, black olives, tar and graphite emerge on the palate, followed by a long spicy finish.

2017 Cabernet Sauvignon
Columbia Valley
Dark black cherry color, with sweet cherries, dark chocolate, and wet slate on the nose. Rich and full bodied, with medium tannins and balanced acidity, bursting with flavors of cassis, dried plums, figs, baking spices and bay leaf, with pleasant pencil lead minerality on the finish. Already over 4 years old, this wine is ready to drink now or can age for another several years. Enjoy now with grilled or roasted vegetables, aged cheddar or hard cheese, grilled steaks, beef stews, game meats, lamb chops, roasted duck. The tannins and acidity also let this wine pair well with pasta with tomato based sauces.
